With National College Decision Day quickly approaching, if your institution is enrollment driven, it’s crunch time. You’ve likely had enough conversations over the last couple of weeks to know that there are inevitably many students and families who are still struggling to finalize their plans for Fall 2015. If you’ve been engaging your prospects and admits through social media, here are some ideas to help with your closing yield efforts…
Search Your Facebook Groups
Do some quick searches of your group timelines to ensure you aren”t missing any important prospective student issues or questions you need to address. You can search terms like, “Financial Aid”, “Money”, “Deposit”, “Deciding”, etc. and you may find a student post that you haven”t yet responded to. You’ll want to keep a close eye on these groups! Not only will prospects often post important questions there but as other students enroll at your school they become eager to be “ambassadors”; and sometimes, though intentions are good, that results in misinformation.
Be Active With Organic Posting
You’ve put in the time and effort to deliver your message to this group for months. Don”t stop now! Post regularly to reinforce your messaging.
Invest In Paid Promotion
If you’re not doing this all year long you should be. But even a small investment in promoted posts and tweets at this stage could go a long way! You”re reinforcing your brand, your messaging, and staying on the top of your admitted students’ minds at the most critical time.
